Fully remote and growing fast: Inside Gojiberry's virtual Gather office

See how Gojiberry keeps its team close despite being fully remote with their virtual office on Gather.

Imagine you're an engineer working on a new product feature. You think you've landed on the right idea, but you'd like a quick gut check from someone else on the team. Ideally, someone who talks to customers all the time, like sales or support.

For many remote teams, that “quick check” is anything but quick. It typically means a long message thread with lots of waiting, or a calendar search just to book a 30-minute call for a two-minute question.

At Gojiberry, teammates simply walk up to each other in Gather and talk it through. Two minutes, no calendar invite, no endless thread. Just quick, easy collaboration.

"A lot of remote collaboration comes down to knowing when you can work independently and when a quick conversation would help. Gather helps with those quick conversations."
Román Czerny, CMO, Gojiberry

Meet Gojiberry

Gojiberry is an AI sales agent for B2B teams. It finds prospects showing buying intent and reaches out with personalized messages on LinkedIn and email, so sales teams can spend their time talking to potential customers instead of searching for them.

Founded in 2025, Gojiberry already has 17 teammates, Y Combinator in its corner, and not a single physical office. Román Czerny, Gojiberry’s CMO, describes the culture as “a fast-growing, stimulating environment where you get a lot of ownership and can see the impact of your work every day.”

Before Gather: Messages, calls, and not much in between

Gojiberry’s founders, Pierre-Eliott Lallemant (CEO), Román Czerny (CMO), and Dylan Teixeira (CTO, knew that problem well. They relied on messaging and scheduled calls, and casual conversation rarely happened organically.

They wanted an easier way to spend time together, and to make asking for help feel natural. They turned to other remote founders in their network, who recommended Gather.

A place for shared moments in between meetings

The three founders loved the virtual office concept. It would let them keep the flexibility of remote work while making everyday collaboration feel easy and natural.

They started small, with the three founders creating a space and holding meetings in Gather. Week one was a mix of exploring the space, setting up their private offices, and getting used to walking over to each other to talk.

It completely clicked. Instead of scheduling every little thing, they could have a two-minute conversation.

“Gather makes it easy to move between focused work and quick conversations. Those little exchanges help us keep moving.”
Román Czerny, CMO, Gojiberry

As the team grew, so did their virtual office. Daily meetings in Gather gave the team a routine, and the ability to personalize the office fostered a sense of ownership. People would stop by each other’s offices to ask a question, share an idea, or just catch up. And the founders could see it all happening in real time.

"Seeing those quick interactions happen without anyone organizing them helped us know Gather was working."
Román Czerny, CMO, Gojiberry

Every Friday, everyone gets together to share updates, celebrate wins, and talk about what's coming next. It’s where everyone’s work comes together in one place.

"When you're growing quickly and working remotely, having that regular moment together really matters."
Román Czerny, CMO, Gojiberry

Growing without losing culture

In one year, Gojiberry grew from three founders to 17 people. Their virtual office has helped scale their culture as new teammates find their place.

When someone joins the Gojiberry team, they're invited into the team’s Gather office, introduced to everyone, and get to set up their own desk. Román calls it "a simple way to help them feel part of the team from the beginning." Personalizing a space also gives people an easy conversation starter beyond the usual "What do you do?"

You can get a sense of what that feels like in a recent post on X from Prerona Basu, Head of Content at Gojiberry. Along with a glowing recap of her first month at Gojiberry, she shared a picture of her Gather desk featuring an autumn garland over the fireplace, sunflowers, a teapot, and plenty of plants, all in a space that's hers.

It's the kind of moment Román points to when describing their culture. When everyone recently redesigned their desks, teammates stopped by to see what everyone had done. People swapped ideas and joked about each other's decorating choices. "It was a small thing, but it made the space feel like ours."

As Gojiberry keeps growing, the goal is to protect what's working today: ownership, energy, and openness.

"People should feel comfortable suggesting an idea, challenging a decision, or asking anyone for help. Gather helps us have those quick exchanges and keep moving.”
Román Czerny, CMO, Gojiberry

Advice for other remote founders

If your team is growing remotely too, here's what Román Czerny, CMO at Gojiberry, would love to pass along.

What advice would you give another founder scaling a remote team right now?

"Be clear about what people own, write down important decisions, and make it easy to ask for help. Give the team room to do focused work, but create regular opportunities to connect.”

What's one thing you'd tell a team considering Gather?

"Give people a reason to spend time there together from the start. Run your daily meetings there, welcome new teammates there, and let everyone make the space their own. The value becomes much clearer once it's part of your everyday routine."

What would you say to someone who thinks remote teams can't have real culture?

"Culture shows up in everyday behavior: how people help each other, handle disagreements, celebrate progress, and take responsibility. All of that can happen remotely."

Bring two-minute conversations back to your team

Quick questions shouldn’t need a calendar invite, and at Gojiberry, they don’t. Teammates walk over to each other’s offices in Gather, talk things through in two minutes, and keep moving. Add routine meetings and plenty of personality, and you get a remote team that stays close as it grows.

Growing fast shouldn’t mean growing apart. Create a place where your remote team stays close, and start your free 30-day Gather trial.
