Gather helps you hold engaging and efficient meetings with your team. Now, we’re excited to help you streamline the process of creating a meeting even more by letting you book a specific area inside your Gather Space!
Now when you create a meeting in Gather, you’ll have two options of where to meet.

1. Meet in a specific area of your choice
This dropdown will allow you to select a specific meeting location within your Space. You can choose any Private Area or Spawn Location.
Note: Scheduling a meeting in a specific location does not guarantee that it will be available at the time of your meeting. Just like a real office, a previous meeting could run late or someone else on your team could enter that area without realizing you’re trying to meet there.
To guarantee the area for your meeting is available, we recommend the next option.
2. Meet in any available private area
At the time of your meeting, this option will select a random, available Private Area in your Space with enough capacity for all your meeting attendees. While you won’t know where you’re meeting until it begins, you’re guaranteed to be the only ones there.
Get started
To start using this feature, you need to link your Google Calendar to Gather. To do that, simply click the calendar icon in the bottom navigation of the Gather app and follow the instructions.

We also recommend downloading the Gather Meetings Chrome Extension so you can easily schedule Gather meetings directly from your calendar. You’ll be able to choose between the same two location options: Any available private area or a specific location.
